Ok, the facts don't lie-0 All-Americans and one Big 12 Champ sucks, but here's why I remain optimistic..ISU took half of the lineup to the NCAA's..not bad considering 4 out of the five hadn't been there...and pending a Finch transfer, we get those four back next season. They will also have that experience of competing at the national level..Especially Big 12 champ Gibson..Let's talk injuries. It seems that if you weren't injured this season you weren't a cyclone. We never even got to see redshirt Sr. Kyle Simonson wrestle and we saw Jerome Ward only a few times..Trent Weatherman is another guy that should be solid pending he is healthy. Next season we should have a healthy Gadson and Spangler also-both of which were in the top 20 of their weight class at some point and will have more to prove..Luke Goettl is a kid that had an up and down season who once beat Kendric Maple when Maple was undefeated and ranked #1! He can only get better with time..Mike Moreno and Shayden Terukina also saw a bunch of mat time and should improve. Let's move on to new guys coming in! Who can't get excited about bringing in IA state undefeated 4x'er John Meeks?!?!?! He projects as a 133 or 141 pounder and will bring strength to the lineup..We can't forget about Destin McCauley! The kid is an Apple Valley legend and at one time the #1 recruit nationally and currently trains at the OTC with top level freestyle guys...Kyle Larson, Gabe Moreno and Dakota Bauer also bring solid prep careers to our lighter weights..Jesse Doyle out of NC was ranked in the top 20 and should be solid by the time Beard graduates..this season was all about fighting through a lot of adversity and will be one that I hope will only strengthen the team..With all this said, next season should be one to look forward to IMO.

Will next season include KJ at ISU at all??

The guy needs more than two years to prove himself imo. Going into his second year the pickens were kinda slim on the roster. I can see him heading out the door after another lack luster season.

JP has surprised us before, maybe there's another surprise coming again.

It's one of those on one hand and on the other hand situations.

JP isn't batting 1.000 but he has hit a couple of home runs in bball and football in the past few years.
