In your opinion, which lecture hall is the best to sit through class in?

I'm either going to have to go with Physics 0003 or LeBaron 1210 simpy due to being spacy and being able to stretch out.

Curtiss was bad until they re-did it. Coover's not really worth a damn. There's one on the east side of campus that I can't remember the name of right now, but it's awful.

I have a major agenda with Kildee's Lecture Hall.

Freshman year, my first class was Psych 101 and I was 10 minutes late. I walked into the class from the lower entrance, looked up and saw hundreds of people staring at me. I then walked around for 5 minutes trying to find a seat until I just sat on the floor. I almost quit college that morning 8 minutes into it.

Kildee, no contest. Room to move around, good line of sight for the lecturer and the projection screens, and a fairly nice auditorium.

Worst lecture hall is Gerdin. You have to sit in the top row in order to see the screen.

Totally read this thread wrong. I thought it was asking for the worst lecture halls. I like LeBaron, Kildee, and Gerdin. I always sat in the front 10 rows of Gerdin, and I saw the screen fine.

Gilman 1002 (??--the first one when you walk in from the south)--had a massive hole in the ceiling during Spring '07
Gerdin & Hoover--awesome
LeBaron 1210--I think I'm the only one that can't stand this room. Spinning chairs are cool and all but I get ADD and get a little too relaxed to pay attention
Kildee--ehh, decent.
Coover--crappy, could've been because the class was Econ 102 taught by an international TA that I couldnt understand
Curtiss--really nice, if you're in the way back on the main floor you can't see the entire overhead screen though b/c of the balcony
MacKay--whoever thought this room would be good for lectures was on crack. The balcony is a good view but 200+ people in a non-stairstep lecture hall? Oookay, buddy.
Physics--had a final here, wasn't too bad
Food Sciences--small, cramped, memories of a horrible orientation class required freshman year

Just for reference, the main lecture halls are:

Kildee (Lush Auditorium)- personal favorite
LeBaron- very nice, but I don't like the two rows per level
Curtiss- really nice, split level is good for sleeping:jimlad:
Gilman small auditorium (room 1750? or something like that)- good hall, bad location
Carver- a little cramped but I personally like them
Molecular Biology- nice
Morrill- very nice
Hoover- good, but uncomfortable seats
Howe
Design- alright, but hard to get in and out of
Physics- nice hall, bad building
Gilman large auditorium (room 100 or something like that)- needs renovation
Coover- cramped and dark
Durham- small
Agronomy- small, cramped and kindof dark
Horticulture- very small
Gerdin- poor layout, but really nice lecture hall
Food- needs serious renovation
Marston- needs some renovation
MacKay- hasn't been renovated in 100 years

What??? I can't believe they redid the lecture halls in Physics. There was something almost....relgious?...about suffering through class in those awful wooden seats. Not to mention being mocked by the scrawlings of the previous semesters' classes "Last day of.... '97". I remember a guy bringing a Dremmel in to on the last day to write his.

It's been redone...both that and Physics 5 I'd say quite recently. Physics 3 is very, very comfortable now

PHYSICS 0003
Yeah... I am of the wooden seat era.... That place was horrible. I was actually thinking of Physics 5... the bigger room, but they both had the crappy wooden seats.

I never had to experience the old Physics halls... I was either in Mackay (balcony or it sucks!!!) or the new halls... which were nice

Lush is nice as well

1002 is still a personal favorite, but I spent time in there other than in lectures so I may be biased (SCUM FTW!!!)

Don't you worry, the lecture hall in Gillman is still holding strong to those wooden beauties
