Lawn Equipment Repair

Anyone have any good recommendations for a business in Des Moines or the suburbs that fixes and tunes-up lawn mowers, trimmers, etc?

I have a Troy-Bilt mower that I've had for a little under two years and it's been through a lot (I use it to mow my lawn, my parent's lawn, and an aunt's lawn).

Long story short, at the end of last year the throttle cable shredded and split from the handle, and then the right, front wheel broke off from the axle. The deck and engine are still in good shape, but I'm trying to decide if I want to have it fixed or just buy a new mower.

Anyone know approximately how much repairs like that might cost? I need to check, but I may have a 2 year warranty on the mower. Would either be covered by it?

Thanks.

Chris' Quality Sharp and Lube Mobile Service. He will come to you place and take you mower and fix it up. Located in Northern part of Des Moines. Seems like a good guy and did a good job for me last year. chrisqualitysharpnlube.com

Thanks everyone. Any others? I was thinking Beaver Mowers based on the name alone (classic!). Looking for a competitive price, not necessarily the lowest.

Clive Power Equipment is who I always have used. They repaired a mower and snowblower for me. I was happy with their service.

Do it yourself. Both are easy, especially the wheel. Parts are cheap.
