I think we've got to expect both THT and Lindell to be gone next year. Lindell because it has sounded like he was dead set on going no matter what. And THT based on the mock drafts.

I certainly can't blame THT if he is going to get drafted in the first round. But I will never understand the NBA. A guy like Monte doesn't go until late in the second and no one expects him to do anything. He turns into a legit back up point guard. But then they draft based on potential which it seems like works out about half the time for the teams doing the drafting.

I hope THT goes off in the tournament, leads us to the final four, and his NBA stock rises so much he has to go. That's ideal. A one and done will do a lot on the recruiting trail for us.

I think that's false. Did Royce do us any good on the recruiting trail?

Lindell won’t be drafted but I think he goes because that’s what he wants.

Haliburton isn’t anywhere close to NBA ready.

THT has huge upside but his game is still very raw and clunky. He’s young so he shouldn’t be in a hurry to leave and teams shouldn’t be pushing him to leave because he is still so young. Another year or two to refine his ball-handling skills and improve his outside shot would do him wonders.

These are my honest assessments of where these guys are at - if they decide to leave I will 100% support them in their decision, they have to do what’s best for them and their families.

Wow....his youth and upside must have really made impressions. I hope he has good council and can get feedback that helps him make a wise with the loss of scoring on our team, you'd think next year he could really shine in our offense.

Interesting not to see Wiggy.....he could be a reason why a THT decides NOT to come back.

I would love if Wiggy came back and could be "the man" next year with THT, Halli, Jake really rounding out a solid line up.

Or, after seeing Wigg get injured this season, decides it's not worth the risk getting injured and it's better to go for the $$$$'s.

This may be a bit outdated but THT states his goal is to be in the league in TWO years, and to be able to win at every level.

Regardless, it makes a huge difference on what he wants his path to be. LW didn't want to mess with the G League at all, hence why he is back. THT seems to be a strong two-way player candidate if he would decide to leave this year.
It is all based on preference at this point.

I am surprised THT is ranked so high in these mock drafts. He's a good ball handler and finishes well when he gets in the lane. But he's not that great of a shooter (yet). I would think he needs to prove himself as a shooter since he's only 6'4" and wont be able to defend against the NBA's 4s even with his wingspan.

What mocks have Wiggy and THT in them? Just went to nbadraft.net and they don't have either in this year's mock draft.

Upthread it was mentioned SI had them listed and some other ranking guide. Your correct nba doesn't. It's all just idle speculation killing time till the tourney.

Lots of people don’t understand that the NBA draft is way different than the NFL draft. In the NBA, only a small number of rookies will make an immediate impact, so most of the picks are based on upside. It is a messed up dynamic because less developed players will be picked over more polished players.

Haliburton looks more like a 4 year player than a 1 and done to me. But what the hell do I know. I don't know what you'd be drafting on taking him in the first round this year.

He would be a horrible draft pick this year. He has a ton of potential, and teams obviously do draft on potential, but he needs to prove that he can score, even a little bit. He WILL be an NBA player.

Next season could be a break-out and make himself a ton of money.

Or it could prove that he needs even more time.

As for THT, the tournament could tell us a lot about his immediate path. We saw both sides of that coin in the B12 Tournament. Recency bias is big with the NBA.

I can't stand the NBA anyways. Them pilfering from our talented freshmen doesn't help either. Oh well not much a fan can do about it.
