What’s guaranteed money for draftees? Is it lottery or entire first round?

SOMEWHAT related, I saw someone make the comment "depends on him and his family" and it's probably more true for football because the money isn't as guaranteed, but sometimes it seems there is a narrative out there that folks do this to take care of their family. While I get the sentiment, I always think of a mid-late football draftee....not a lot guaranteed...maybe makes a team for a couple years...while a lot of money, after taxes and hopefully saving, there isn't a lot left.
