Planning my best friends bachelor party for late July. We're getting our tickets through allegient. Next challenge is hotels. Which hotels would you recommend(reasonable)? I'd assume and have heard that you'd want to be on the strip, where everything is walking distance. Also, how far in advance do you reserve rooms? Do the prices for rooms fluctuate?

Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Whats the age group? I recommend the Cosmo for anyone around 30 and under. The whole south side of the strip is geared more towards that crowd. Hotels fluctuate but if you sign up for their newsletters/players program online they will send you hotel deals.

Just guys? Stay somewhere like Monte Carlo or NYNY. Rooms can be had for less than $100 a night. Aria/Cosmo/Vdara are nice, but with a group of guys, you will never be in the room. Stay in the central strip area, so you can walk either way to whatever you want to do.

Cosmo is my go to hotel, it is just so damn nice. But cheapest rooms are $175 or so anymore. This is the hotel I bring the wife to.

Are you suggesting that he and his friends have no shot at getting laid? That’s rude.

It's partnered with Marriott so I use points to book my Vegas stays there plus you usually get upgraded if you have status with Marriott. This was my view last time I stayed at the Cosmo

DO NOT stay at the Westgate. Bad A/C, power problems (the lights went out overnight and the alarms went off for a couple hours) and it's absolutely infested with time share salespeople (like three sales pitches on every trip to and from your room infested).

Beyond that, the tram is well worth getting a pass. Gets you around pretty quickly.

The prices vary a lot based on conventions and events in town. So if possible narrow it down to a couple of hotels and like 3 or 4 weekends and then go in and compare rates so you can pick the cheapest.

Join the MGM email list so you start getting deals sent.

Monte Carlo is best for your crowd. Luxor and Harrahs would be priced about right also.

Allegiant is usually the cheapest but often Southwest is close enough on price, also direct, but the flight times are better. Sometimes I'll mix and match. Southwest out and Allegiant back.

Also since you are going in the summer go to Wet Republic day club. Good times.
