Looking to go down at end of September, Is everything still open at that time? We are used to going to boji where basically everything closes down and want to make sure its not going to be the same down there.

You should be fine. The wife and I almost bought some property there but decided to use VRBO every year for 2 weeks.
You can get incredible prices in September in my opinion.

Lake in Sept and early Oct is spectacular. Great golf weather. It just remains a major destination so crowds are an issue. We spent a lot of time there 1990 to 2015. Many great memories.
