Kyle Kelm is.....

I prefer a stronger (physically) prospect but will defer to the staff.

Take Kelm...between Mann, Christopherson and Boozer someone will bail. I am sure the coaches know this and I would rather grab this Kelm kid and lose one of these guys.

Boozer is coming on and will soon be an upperclassman. Christopherson has transferred once already. As much as anything, GMac said, Mann was recruited for his tough attitude.

You might be right and one of these guys will transfer. I don't see it, though. (But, then, there are so many things that I don't see coming. . . .)

Didn't we read here that Kelm wants to come to ISU if HB chooses to be a Cyclone? If HB goes elsewhere, I wonder how that will affect Kelm's thinking.

Christopherson will not transfer. Mann wouldn't surprise me but that'a pure speculation.

Clinton Mann's future . . .

Just mulling CM's status a bit more. Are my assumptions accurate (maybe I'm missing a vital point or two).

> LA Pomlee likely is more effective camping out in the paint, right?

> Lucca's a three, I guess.

I'm trying to figure out who CM's competition for PT will be in the future. GMac loves the kid's tough attitude and has said CM is as good on the perimeter as he is inside. If CM gets up to 225 pounds or more, maybe he'll have an important role to play at ISU? A combo 3-4 versatility, maybe?

Not sure why you mention HB.

As I mentioned in the post, I'm "imagine"-ing that were HB to become a Cyclone, even at 6-7 he might not be competing with CM for the same position, giving greater room for CM to play a meaningful role on the team. And, thus, perhaps less reason for CM to consider a transfer speculated by the other poster.

But CM will need to decide on transferring before HB commits anywhere. That's what I meant by it.

Oh, I see your point.

But, HB most certainly will sign 10 months from now (November 09), CM's second season here. CJohnson chose to transfer following his second season. If he's gonna do it, though, sooner the better for him, I agree.

Hope he's not going anywhere.

I would be absolutely shocked to see Mann play the 3. I really don't think he'd be a good fit out there unless he completely changed his skill set.

Two? Kelm puts us AT the limit, not over. To sign Barnes we would need attrition of one player in the next two years. That could easily happen because of someone transferring for more playing time, someone being injured, someone going pro, grade issues, etc.

Christopherson will not transfer. Mann wouldn't surprise me but that'a pure speculation.

Hopefully it's Booze.

Booze isn't transfering
Christopherson isn't transfering
Mann maybe (pure speculation)
Brackins may go pro (although some thing it is a joke ??)

So we have no more scholarships to give out in 2010. Possibly one over if Gilstrap gets 2 years. Yet people really think that we have a true offer out to Kelm?!?! When we are still pushing hard on Barnes! Like I have said 1000 times, I don't think we do. Kyle Kelm = Conditional offer
