The NCAA will put the hammer down on Self and Kansas for their issues just about as hard as the put the hammer down on Ol Roy and North Carolina for theirs.

KU has brought in some really nice recruits the last few years assumably because they see the field early. Hopefully, Purdy and Rose will show top recruits you can come to Ames play right away if you have the talent while at the same time win and play in front of a packed house.

I've never understood the past couple years some of the recruits that KU has been able to land? Who would want to play in front of a basketball sized crowd in a football stadium and lose nearly every game?

I feel bad for their guys like the MLB. Local guy who went to KU, but Corione Harris and Pooka who could’ve went to any SEC school and choose KU, oh well.

It’s a toss-up as to who has a more arrogant alumni, KU or U of I. They have a lot in common. Both have an unusually inflated view of their academic reputation. Both are pathetically ashamed of their midwestern farm roots. Both desperately want the rest of the nation to know that they are not like the states from which they come from. It’s quite sad, because as hard as they try, they will never be viewed as an equal by the coastal elite they seek to impress.
