Yes, Simon's is really good, but it is tiny. Not unusual to see a line of 20+ waiting outside for the doors to open at 5:00pm.

If I recall correctly, the owner was in his young 20's when he purchased this restaurant (used to be called J Benjamin's) and took it over. He is very visible and often stops by tables to be sure you are satisfied with you meal.

Yeah Simon is very involved. Never had a bad meal there.

Hit the Hy-Vee hot food bar tonight after work. Nothing wrong with the food - Tasted fine going down, but I ate too late and suffered from a bit of acid reflux followed by, well, never mind! lol. Let's just say I am still up way past my bed-time.

Check out Angry Goldfish on SW 9th, great bbq, the siracha tenderloin is excellent, their jalapeno margarita is amazing, and you can get whiskey flights. And it's priced right
