Really good article. It's just amazing what this state has gone through and what we've all recovered from.

This was a pretty amazing couple of weeks for sports in Iowa. Between the NCAA track championships, the IndyCar event, the triathalon, and the attention on Shawn Johnson, I'm not sure I can remember a stretch of events like that. Tie that to the floods and it makes it all the more remarkable.

Not a problem, being a Royals and Chiefs fan, I read the KC Star every day. To be perfectly honest, i'm in Ankeny and there's a part of me that feels guilty going on with every day life when there are tens of thousands of Iowa residents who's lives have been turned upside down either due to the P-burg tornado or the floods.
