It is good for the conference and thus good for ISU that way.

Having the same team, even a blue blood like Kansas, win it every year is something that occurs in mid-major conferences....not power 5's. This has been a bad look for the Big XII.

I think what needs to happen now is Big 12 teams besides KU need to start making final fours or going on deep runs.

I don't think it's any coincidence that the streak ends on the year that their ability to have Adidas buy players for them ends due to the FBI investigation.

Same thing happened around our Elite 8 appearance back in 00, lots of Elite 8 teams without having a lot of Final Four teams. A certain amount of the format is just going to be a coin toss. Since the league lost Nebraska/ATM/Colorado (basketball win) and went to ten teams it has been top to bottom the toughest league in terms of very few nights off.

True, I am mainly talking about final fours. ACC and Big Ten have more teams that compete in final fours than the Big 12 does. That is why I don't think it is the best conference. It is is the toughest conference because there isn't much dead weight and the round robin gives you no breaks but in terms of top teams who can compete for championships, other leagues are better.

Right, the only problem the Big 12 has is a false narrative problem that stems from a lack of exposure.

Now that KU didn’t win, it will be framed as an even weaker conference due to KU being down, particularly if no teams reach the FF. I’m not sure how many top-4 seeds the conference will have, either.

I wish we were done with Tech, I'd rather see them than KSU but at the same time I don't want to lose any more games. I just can't quite get over how we've lost to KSU in football and just struggle with them in general. But basically I'm just glad KU got knocked off the pedestal.
