i thot i would email one of espn's guys and i asked him: If you were to rank the biggest threats QB to WR would Iowa State be in the top 5 or 10? Because in my oppinion the rest of the nation does not realize how good this group can be.

well he actually responded.. which suprised me but ya

Top 5 might be pushing it, but I don’t think Top 10 is out of the question. If Meyer can make as much improvement as he did last year, look out. And obviously those receivers are pretty good.

I know they don’t seem worried, but I still think the defense still has to be considered a major question mark, though…

I thot it would be cool just to get another perspective

his name was Brett Edgerton

I find it interesting that he threw in the little line about the defense. I think that a bit too often the refuse to recognize talent on a team that may not win 9 games in that given year. It is tough to say that they would be on of the top duo's when they wouldnt even get Heisman consideration because they wouldnt be from a top ten team. Just my thoughts

MNClone, the way I read the original question, he was asklng about QB to WR as a group, not QB to ONE WR. I think that's the way the ESPN guy answered it too.

I just hope we can run the ball some this year. Last year our running may have been the worst year in ten. That would make our passing much better.

I think he also answered as a group. I think the Meyer to Blythe combo has to be one of the top 5 threats in the nation.

I hope that we see the confident Todd Bylthe of the last half of the season for the whole season this year. If we do I think we will be fine. After the NE game last year I was wondering who was wearing number 1 and what the ransom was on real Todd Bylthe. I really expect this to be a break out year for Todd.

Very good point. Without a decent ground game, our passing duo of Blythe and Meyer will not be as effective. If our ground game is just average, look out!

too bad you didn't get a reply from everyone's ESPN favorite...Stuart " mad -props" Scott with all of his hip-inner city gibberish and rap stylings

His crazy eyes freak me out however and I avoid insulting Stewey too much...not sure if he is trying to hypnotize the masses into believing he is the next Puffy...or prepping to melt my flesh away with eyeball laser beams.

long live Stuart
