I’m pretty sure that people who’ve passed away can no longer influence the outcome of a sporting event... otherwise all of those ex-Virginia fans that have passed away were really not paying attention.

Didn't he come to ISU because they weren't paying him enough after reaching the championship game?

He found out that ISU was going to pay his assistant more than he was making.

Always wonder where we’d be had we hired Frieder as originally planned. More or less successful? Would Hilton Magic be a thing?

Not sure about Frieder but Steve Fisher was loyal to San Diego State.

I thought the story was Johnny was either last or next to last in Big10 pay while he was taking BigBlue to the NC game.

Or if we had gotten coach k.

Personally, I think Johnny was the right person at the right time. He’s who we needed.

Johnny didn't like being at a football school. Iowa State called to inquire about his assistant and he found out how much we were paying and he took the job. For a short time, Iowa State made him the highest paid college basketball coach in America.

Iowa State's blessing in the next couple of years...right?
...Johnny is above...right?

I'm pretty sure Johnny would take a big fat dump on Michigan sooner than he would cheer them on. He thought they mistreated him.
