I have posted in some garden tractor forums out there and haven't gotten much. Thought I would try CF since you can get answers to about anything here.
I have a John Deere 425 Lawn Tractor with the Kawawsaki 20hp motor.
I recently was having problems with it starting and found out the positive battery cable was bad (after tearing the starter out and getting it checked).
I put the whole thing back together and now the thing will turn over and basically run while the starter is engaged. As soon as I release the key to the RUN position the thing quits.
I have verified I have fuel and spark...so now I am stumped.
Any ideas?
