Alabama is about the only school I know of anymore that doesn't have at least some alternate uniforms. Ok, Penn State too. Teams like Michigan, ND, Florida State, Texas, Ohio State, etc, etc, etc all have multiple alternate uniforms now.
So pretty soon, we might be the only school left that has no alternate cool looking uniforms, and our intro is a classic rock song from 40-some years ago that only old people like anymore. So we aren't any good, AND we look like crap and are boring on top of it. Sounds like a winning approach to me! No wonder we compete with MAC schools for our recruits.
Oh wait, I'm sorry, I forgot that we tried matte helmets this year. Only about 5 years after they were kinda cool, but now look horrible, especially in red with a shiny logo on it.
Updated font on the number helps a little bit. Home unis still meh. White tops and red pants on the road continues to be our best look.
Agree that white top + red pants on the road is the best look. No idea why we went away from it.
I also really liked the matte cardinal helmet + white jersey + gold pants on the road at Texas last year. Looked great under the lights and contrasted with the all the burnt orange.

This is my favorite look from this set of uniforms. Also like our Cardinal-White-White look. Don't really care for any of our home sets, but would like to see us try Cardinal-Cardinal-White sometime.
Could work. That was the best look the 2000 squad had. Home against Missouri I think under the lights.
The new uniforms we've been waiting for... wooo
