Yeah, my professors lecture about the use of wikipedia, yet if you take a trip to the bottom of the page, even ol' wikipedia cite their sources.
Anyone with a fundamental ability to think critically can benefit from Wiki. Sure, there is a bit of bogus information, there, but evaluate the information and Wiki can be your friend.
Actually, one of the reasons Academicians don't like it, is that it is a threat to their rice bowl.

I wish I knew about Wiki while I was at ISU (was it around prior to 2003?). It would have made research a TON easier.
