I remember it when it was at Central Campus. It probably was noticed more there by the student body than any other time. It's location was part of the reason the stadium rename movement began.
Last year I sat for a few minutes and just looked at the statue even though thousands of people were hustling by. It's an emotional and moving tribute and I hope the new site is even more respectful, leaving no doubt about this man's lasting legacy to college football and ISU. If we are going to move it, the new site at the stadium better be a place of reverence, reflection and inspiration.
