For reference the complete "South" End Zone at JTS was less than 1/10th that price.

Edit: just realized I put North instead of South end zone.... oops, it was late I guess.

Figured start a thread to show the latest in Athletic Facilities across the country. Minnesota & Michigan just opened up new facilities. Minnesota: $166 Million Football Facility & "Athletes Village": Michigan new 32,000 sq ft., $21 million Weight Room:

Penn St should not be forgiven ever for what they did to kids just because they have big boosters and TV money. Logistically, we could probably expand our press box without destroying it. Expand north and south by adding a couple more towers. We’d probably need to redo the concession stands though.

Would I love a bigger press box? Absolutely. But now we're coming to a point where players are going to be compensated via the university and CyTown is also on the docket. And unfortunately for us, we don't have big rig oil donors like A&M has.

Are we expanding for more media people? Or are we also creating corporate boxes with a revenue stream do recoup those costs? If the latter, we already have SEZ and the Jacobson building.

If it’s me, I’m allocating press box dollars to things that either raise money for ISU or for facility improvements that directly give our players an on field edge to win championships. Hell, I’d rather have the Wrestling building done before we re-do the football press box.
