personally, i think most people get it, the business community in Ames doesn't...the problem is are we going to be allowed to compete.
This is why the 80s and 90s were such a disaster, it put us so far behind it took 35 years to catch up. If this run occurred in the 80s we might not be in this situation.
Although, Blum said he sent out 2k emails asking for sponsorships for an event to the Ames business community and received zero replies.
I'm sure people will disagree, but Ames has done the university no favors either. It's like the university is an annoyance to these people. Well, they will find out how well these businesses do if Iowa state athletics drops off the map.
