Comcast for those with Comcast Cable TV.
I see where someone believes 642 will be the Directv HD broadcast.
What about Directv SD? I don't think 642 will work on my box.
Versus used to be a Comcast sports offering.

Game is only on Comcast SportsNet MidAtlantic (Washington DC). It is NOT on any other Comcast SportsNet channels or alternate channels. Right now, I do not know whether it is in the clear outside of the DC, VA and MD area, but past Virginia games have been available nationwide for those that have the sports pack and when I last looked, the Dish Network guide did not show a blackout symbol.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the game blacked out in Iowa tonight. The ACC is notrious for blacking out games like this outside of the home footprint, much the same way FSN does with Missouri, Kansas St., and Nebraska basketball telecasts.
It shows up on the guide. Could it still be blacked out even if the guide shows it is on?
I don't think so (without looking). Since it is non-conf, home team decides what TV package occurs. Obviuosly, Comcast gave VA more $ than ESPN offered.
EDIT: after looking at the men's schedule on cyclones.com, the only media listed is Comcast; no ESPN FC.

I just called Dish TV and installed channel 424 for $7 per month to get the game. Its some comcast basketball package that includes a boatload of regional basketball confrerence telecasts. Probably cancel it after a month but maybe not. Anyway, you can get it for $7, technically, for tonights game.
Did the channel show up on your guide before you ordered it? I was going to go out to my brothers to watch the game on Dish, but he says 424 doesn't even show up as a channel on the guide?
The channel does not show up because you have not paid for it yet. I hope you are not in grad school at ISU. Just kidding, call 1-800-9131 and ask for them to install channel 424. It takes about 5 minutes after they have activated the channel for it to show up on your guide. I am on my 3rd cocktail in pre-game in-home tailgating and have kicked the dog off the couch. Game will hinge on JVB staying out of foul trouble.
