He may also be tired of playing a 3 man front and trying to go through 2 lineman all the time. Just saying…
It takes the right mentality to play this position in ISUs defense. Thought he came around more the last 3-4 games, but don't know if he battled injury or not prior. For some reason I wondered about him & this happening didn't surprise me. Best of luck to him, though, as he played his heart out while out there for ISU. If he gets more $$, all the better for him (if that's what he needs, too).

As you know, the numbers don’t tell the story on our DL. I’m not sure if he was good or not. Hard to tell in our system. But if he made a few hundred thousand, can’t say that I blame him. Last chance to make some big bucks for some of these guys.
Totally this... it's all about the cash homey! Get it if you can! The AD's are... the coaches are.... so why not the players too? If some program wants to give Tyler more money.... go get it kid!! It's college free agency folks! It's even better for the players than NFL free agency... no rules whatsoever in college free agency!

While his stats have been anything but steller, he started every game for us. You don't do that if there is somebody better behind you.

So it might not seem like a big loss, but somebody with his experience and our lack of a great plug-and-play backup does matter.

Agreed. Go get that cash. I wish him well, but of all starters I'm not too worried about losing.... this would be one. Not sure there is any drop off at all from any transfer we bring in.

I don't disagree, but would you say he was any better than Snyder? He'd been in our system for 3 years and was no better than a lower level D1 transfer we brought in.

Might be where the roster to 105 helps us. Might prevent schools from just buying players so we don’t have them.

Another guy who just regressed year after year here. He showed tons of promise very early on. And not saying that's all on ISU... some guys just don't want to do what it takes either.

It's either/or and not just a talent that got scouted deal or similar?
