Despite Campbell's comments, I am still very concerned about our linebackers.

Perhaps the only thing that could have relieved me was for him to say that Heacock has some adjustments in mind.

I think the latter goes without saying, but the options at linebacker are trial by fire or trial by fire, and there's only so much adjustment you can make for that

There's only so much Heacock can do. I'm skeptical he can overcome this.
I think the defense will be decent, but certainly not what we're used to. May have to take some chances on the back end to help stop the run so that teams can't just eat up the clock all day, because our saving grace is a pretty damn good offense, and we need to make sure that they see the field.

One thing worth noting with the LB's - part of why they looked so bad Saturday was because of how bad the DL played. Tackles were not eating up blocks, the whole DL was getting moved most run plays, and UND's OL was able to get up to the second level consistently without much resistance.

I'm kind of surprised how quickly people forget the previous years. Yeah, that 2nd Quarter drive by ND was rough to watch and certainly longer than anything we've seen, but the reality is, ISU's defense has struggled to get off the field on 3rd down for a couple of years now. How many 3rd and longs did we give up last year? I remember being in the stands last year and my wife getting mad at me because I quit standing up on 3rd down. I looked at her and asked, "What's the point?"

I almost believe this is a feature of Heacock's defense, not a bug. No, I don't mean intentional to let teams stay on the fied, but it plays into CMC's overall philosophy of limiting posessions and eating clock. If it minimizes scores, then I think they look at it as a win at the end of the day.
