157- nate carr jr 4-1, 2nd place. both 157's lose to pat wright of mizzou

165- chris spangler went 1-2, dnp, injury default in both losses
165- andrew sorenson 3-1, 2nd
165-mike finch 0-2, dnp, lost to janssen of iowa, who sorenson beat

174-billy lewis, 3-2 5th place.

285-kyle simonson- 1-2 dnp.
kyle mcfarland 4-2, 5th
eric thompson 3-1, 2nd place, lost to christain brantley of uni who is an absolute stud 8-7.

This was a varsity match I assume? So it looks pretty good for the future when our red shirt and JV have 3 2nds. How did Long look? Is there a possibility that Clark moves up or Long moves up next year?

im not really in the know, more of just a relay.

the UNI open was a "college open" where redshirts wrestle unattatched, and backups wrestle too. uni and uno and some smaller schools had starters there, but schools like minny, isu, iowa, illinois, wisconsin etc.. all send backups.

im sure ricky is with the team, but it does not appear that he wrestled. maybe some of his buds can give us an update.

as for either moving up.... no. fanthorpe should be a senior if i remember correctly, and im sure i do. it would be nice to see them bump and fanny and gallick bump, and take over mueller's spot, but i am just not a fan of mueller. hopefully he grows into his own this year.

what i have heard, and it could just be heresay, is that clark will take his redshirt next year and long will start.

I would think that one of them might put on some weight. Didnt Long wrestle 125 at Creston or was 112? I like both these guys and the loss at UNI was the first for long except against Clark.
