St Paul paper says BOTH Super Bowl coaches were ISU coaches at one time early in their career.
ISU is a coaching factory.

Both of them in them coached the secondary here, and within a few years of each other. Nice thing about being a stepping stone program, I guess.

...I hate to be the guy who brings Iowa into the conversation, but can't resist.

Does the fact that a lot of Hayden Fry's assistant coaches went on to have more success than him, mean that Iowa was a stepping stone for them?

Don't get me wrong--some of Fry's teams were decent, but they didn't do what Stoops or Alvarez did. Or Pete Carroll or Mack Brown, for that matter.
