I know I am a new member, but I am a long time lurker, and my family and I are huge Cyclone fans. Anyway, my husband, some of you may know him from X as HestoPresto, is a semifinalist for America’s Favorite Teacher. He is a math teacher at Knoxville High School, and completed both his undergraduate and master’s degrees at Iowa State. He really could use your free vote once every 23 hours. It’s not looking great for him to move onto the finals right now, he went from 1st yesterday morning to 5th last night, but every vote gets him a little closer. His opponents are well financed, but with your help he will have more voters.

I placed my vote, but it almost appears as a scam since you can buy votes with donations ($1 per vote). So as you said, the well financed teacher has a significant advantage (sounds like the NIL all over again).
