Both the basketball game and football game on saturday? I was thinking of hitting up both and looking for tips on how to get tickets (cheapest or most convenient way) to the basketball game. Scalp? Ticket office? I already have FB season tix, but I kinda wanted to check out the MBB while I am in town.

I'm going to both, probably drop off the tailgate stuff at a friends this time since the camper is out of commission, goto the BB game then sneak in a couple hours of tailgate then proceed to freeze my butt off at the FB game.

I'll be at both. Half of the people I'm tailgating with have football tickets and the other half have basketball tickets. I'm the only one with both. We'll start tailgating before the basketball game. Half of us will then watch the basketball game and return to the tailgate. More tailgating until the other half of us go to the football game. It's going to be a great day of Iowa State athletics!

I'm going to both. We'll probably get there around 11 or earlier so we can park in a field...(wish we had a parking pass) walk to Hilton with books, and hat/gloves in a bag...maybe another layer of clothes. And then get ready for the FB game after.

It seems like an all day party :yes:

I'm going to both aswell. The basketball tickets are cheap because of the football game. I bought 3 tickets for ~$45. Good seats too.

We're going to both. The RV we usually tailgate at isn't coming so we'll probably hit a bar after the BB game to get primed for the FB game in warmth.

On a related subject, how is parking going to work? Parking is free for basketball games, but you need a parking pass or $15 to park in the same spots for football. Basketball starts at 12:30 and should be over by 3:00 at the latest. They can't disallow tailgating for football until after the lots clear from basketball, can they?

Saturday
(Men’s Basketball – Loyola-Marymount @ 12:30 p.m. & Football - Missouri @ 5:30 p.m.)
Football parking permits only will be honored on Saturday as it relates to lot location. For fans attending ...
  • both events Saturday should use their football parking permit and stay in that location all day.
  • just the men’s basketball game and/or not in possession of a football parking pass, may use their basketball parking permit for Lot G7, located east of the stadium at the corner of University Boulevard and South Fourth Street.
  • Fans that have handicap accessible parking needs for the men's basketball game will be able to park in lot C-2.
General public paid parking is available, as supplies last, for the grass lots south of Jack Trice Stadium or at the Lied Recreation Center or the Memorial Union Parking Ramp.

I'm not sure I understand....is this saying I will have to pay $15 in order to park for the basketball game? Also, is it saying I will have to park in the grass lots for the basketball game since I don't have a basketball parking pass? If so, I will have to pay $15 to park a mile away from hilton....I hope I misunderstand.

That's what it's saying if you don't have a parking pass for football or basketball. You could always just park on a side street to the west of the athletic complex.

If you really don't want to park in the grass lots...park at the Mall and take CYRide! It's $1 per trip and drops you off at Hilton.

Erik and I did that for Football last year....I don't think I can convince him to do that this weekend though.

Good news is that Friday, we BB goers should be able to park near Hilton
