Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but won't this require cell or wifi service?
yes. They said just open it in a browser before you get around the stadium and it should still work.

As long as it shows the bar code with the line moving back and forth on it it should be good.

My wife and daughter went to the VB game on Sunday and downloaded the tickets to Apple Wallet with no bar code.

I tried UNI tickets and parking pass tonight and got the same thing. I logged out and back in and got the parking pass correctly but the tickets are missing the bar code still. The tickets say “Your pass is being activated”. Same result in the website and app.

Probably because the barcode isn’t a thing anymore in Apple Wallet. It’s RFID.

This won't help with your problem and Saturday is going to be a disaster getting in. I spoke to the ticket office and they offered to walk me through the process if I went to them this week. I can't because of distance but if I have problems (I'm still concerned about internet service on game day) he said to go to the ticket office on game day. Good luck to everyone.

I would be shocked if the internet service from Hilton south doesn't suck.

Doesn't make a lot of sense why parking passes are still QR codes while game tickets have changed and the code is no longer visible, even if it changes every 30 seconds or whatever. I'm sure that's creating some confusion.

Not exactly. Not sure if you are distinguishing between bar code and QR code, but parking passes still use a QR code. Apple would say they are both supported https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/add-and-use-passes-iphe7aa3336/ios

You don’t need to link Apple support for me. I have understood from the beginning how this works. I’m sorry some people are having a hard time with it, but as far as the game tickets go, there is no more bar code when you use Apple wallet/google wallet, they use RFID. The barcode is available if you use the native ISU ticket app.

The reason you still have QR codes for parking, it would appear, is because real people are scanning you in and they don’t have RFID capabilities.

My guess would be that, while game entrances will have kiosks, parking lots will not. Kiosks have RFID/barcode capabilities, as seen in the John Walters infomercial. The manned parking entrances, I’m guessing, will have the handheld scanners, which would not have the same capabilities. IMO, the ticket department could have explained that better to help avoid confusion, but I don’t think any amount of explanation would have lead to less ********, especially from the paper ticket crowd.
