Never said those guys didn't have another P5 offer, just saying they are all similar or worse recruits than Brandon Smith is all. Iowa has a very strong track record of taking guys that work hard and turning them into NFL caliber players.

A lot of those guys were much better recruits than Smith.

I will give you this. Out of all the positions WR has been lacking the most. They did great converting McNutt from a QB to a WR and also did great with Martin-Manley, Hinkle, Vandeberg and Maurice Brown and probably a few others. Hopefully Smith can progress as well.

247 wasn't very good 4 years ago. King had an offer from Wisconsin but you already knew that

Maybe the new WR coach will be able to spot guys better and get them better than others. That WR coach at Nebraska, even thought he has like 3 DUIs. is killing it on the recruiting trail which I can't quite understand.

Has never been Iowa's stongsuit for various reasons. Even Hayden had trouble getting athletes on the outside regularly. Hell the '85 team had Happle and Helverson at wideout.

No he wasn't, he was 5.6 on rivals and Smith was 5.5 and King had better offers

Going by 24/7 composite he is lower, but I will give you that King was "slightly better" than Smith on rivals if that helps you sleep at night.

Find it funny that Iowa has a ton of players comparable to Smith in recruiting that blossomed into NFL caliber players and ISU has Jake Knott. LOL!!!
