My wife just started using one of these. Anyone else been using one of these? Recipe recommendations?

Yes, they are awesome. Just Google instant pot recipes, there are a million out there. I love making potatoes in it. My personal favorite recipe is lasagna soup.

You will love the Instant Pot. The wife and I have one and use it several times a week. It is fantastic for soups especially chilli. I highly recommend new york salt potatoes in it. Its also fantastic at steaming fresh or frozen veggies. We have experimented with ours alot and cooked everything from brownies to pork butt. Just don't be afraid to try something new in it.

We got one during the black Friday sales & have really enjoyed it so far. I'll try to post some recipes later.

Surprised it took nearly 4 posts.

I saw it right away, figured I'd let somebody else get that low-hanging fruit...

We also got one for Christmas. Will be interesting to see what we get out of it. For those of you who have one, my Mom was telling me that she had heard if you hard boil eggs in it, they peel much easier than normal. Any experience with this?

I've really enjoyed ours. There was a bit of a learning curve when you first get started. Once you figure it out though it's great. We've primarily used it for roasts and soups. With the roasts it's amazing how much more flavor you get in a fraction of the time.

Yes, that was the first thing my wife tried. Tried some chicken breast last night and those also turned out good.

Kind of anxious to try it out on things like chicken breast. We've been using the crock pot quite a bit to minimize food prep time when getting home from work. We've found that because we're gone for so long, recipes will tend to be a bit dry - thinking because the food goes in the thing at 7AM and we don't sit down to eat until 6PM.

That's our exact same situation. Unlike the crock pot, you can get a little color from the saute feature and then do the pressure cook. The one thing you miss out on is the great smell from running the crock pot all day.

If nobody's home to smell it, all it does is drive the dog crazy with desire. Ain't nobody wants that.

Or, I assume, tasting your chili all day, which would be more of a tragedy.
