Individual Participants for Tournaments

So there was a thread on HawkeyeReport yesterday about the possible participants of the Midlands tournament which got me thinking about a new page to add to my website, individual participants.


I took the list of schools that are registered for a tournament, according to their schedule, and retrieved the starters from each team, to compile the list. This assumes that the starters will be participating. Obviously some wrestlers may not participate because of injuries, or still cutting weight. Also, lots of teams take more than just their starters to these tournaments, so those guys won't be included either, but this will give a list of the top guy from each team that will be participating.

That's a cool addition as usual. One suggestion I might have - would it be tough to crosslink that to your comparison pages (like a tick mark to select two wrestlers to compare or something like that) so that mid-tournament it would be easy to directly from that page grab two guys who are going to be paired up in the next round and compare common opponents?

Yes, that's actually a very good idea, definitely something I want/will incorporate.

I may even expand on that and allow it either from this tournament participants page, or from the rankings pages also, I think that would be very beneficial!
