If you could take 1 former Cyclone and add them to the current roster, who would you choose and why?

Victor Alexander would actually be quite interesting.

I'm about as big of a Big Vic fan as you get, but he would not be a good fit with the defensive intensity and rotation mobility requirements of the current team.

Nothing new, but maybe a little more detailed analysis:

Easy Answer: Fizer (our biggest area of improvement is at the 5/4, he was ISU's best player of all time during his time at ISU, fits the defense and rebounding mindset, adds extremely effective post-up option, adds the ability to take the top of the key passer role and drive straight to the hoop if his defender sags, has a good inside pivot jumper and good enough 3P shot to keep D's from sagging off)

Outside the Box: Tyrese Halliburton (could play 1-4, at the 4 he could allow Kunc/Enaruna some time at the 5 against most teams (not Illinois/Purdue/other big center teams), has proven he is willing to play/excellent at playing as part of a two-PG system, would be an instant upgrade at ball handling/decision-making against the press, great personality/locker room guy, would be a zone/sagging defense killer with the deep three, long arms would take our trap and get tips/steals mindset to the next level, lobs to Brock would be fun to watch)

I'm an old guy. You young whipper snappers always forget about one of the greatest: Zaid Abdul-Aziz. After over fifty years and a plethora of great players for the Cyclones he still (on a per game basis) is the most prolific scorer (over 20 ppg) and rebounder (over 13 rpg) in Cyclones history.

He is not higher in the record books because back in the later 60s Freshmen could not play and ISU only played 25 games a year! But he was a dominant post player. All-American.

Add Marcus Fizer to any roster, and we are 5 games better in the win column. If we would have had 2 of him in 2000, undefeated.
