I thought Woodbury was another no good Iowa kid

I don't think it's ISU not wanting him, I'm fairly sure it's him not wanting ISU. From everything I've read he's a huge Iowa fan and that would be the only school he would consider in state.

Can't fault a kid for being loyal.

If this is true then he should be open to UNI as well

There's no doubt that this kid is very good. Kansas and UNC don't offer kids that aren't really good. So let's put that to rest.

Problem is, Hoiberg had less than a 0% chance of getting him. If he had any kind of small interest in ISU, Hoiberg would be recruiting him.

Kind of like how Iowa had no shot at Harrison Barnes. Harrison was going to go to ISU if he didn't get all the huge offers from the big time programs.... Iowa was not in the picture. Iowa still offered him and had him visit though, but it was a waste of their time and energy because they had zero chance.

I would say it has more to do with him not getting up and down the court well, and the fact he plays with his back almost exclusively to the basket on offense. But throw out the white guy thing if it makes you feel better.

Adam is not slow by any means? I don't know where this stuff comes from? he gets up and down the court really well. I don't know why everyone is saying he's ony good in the half court? for being 7'0 he moves extremely well. I would compare him to a Tyler zeller in terms of movement. he is definately no Seth gorney. this comes from playing against him and watching him play several times. I would love if ISU got him, but he will either be playing ball at Iowa or Kansas.

And if he wants to win, it will be at Kansas.

It comes from the fact that he's not interested in ISU so the hate begins. The ISu blinders are amusing.

Are you new to sports and how they work?

If he chooses either Kansas or Iowa we will all see him as an opposing player year in and year out, of course no here is going to like him.

You don't have to like him to recognize that he's a good player. I can call a spade a spade.

He's a really good ball player getting offers from big time programs. He also has zero interest in isu. That's pretty much all we need to know.

If being honest is self serving...

Oh come on, it's not being honest, it's an attempt to show a false moral superiority over other posters.

You say you can "call a spade a spade" yet you can't even be honest about your own intentions. Quite hypocritical.

Wow. My intention is to state that Woodbury is a player that Fred would take at ISU despite the fact that he isn;t recruiting him. How that makes me morally superior is humorous. He was MVP at the most prestigious camp to date. Not to mention numerous tweets from basketball guys, in attendance, raving about him.

I also think that people who don't think he would fit in at ISU are being disingenuous but maybe that's me sitting on my high horse.

The best part about listening to why hawk fans think their going to get him is because "he is reputed to be a big Hawkeye fan in a family of Hawkeye fans" did they not follow HB a few years ago? My memory says he was an ISU fan in the family of ISU fans... Man I can't wait to hear it when he breaks their hearts and goes to UNC or KU

Cydkar, just admit you want to prove you are better than a bunch of people you don't know on an anonymous message board. It's clear, as an 11 year old kid, that's your goal here.

I will admit that I am better, at most things, than a typical 11 year old.

He's good, he was consistently matched up against the best high school players in the country and was unguardable in the post without a double team. This event had I believe 94/100 players in the country at it, fwiw.

Did Woodbury get the MVP award because he scored the most points in the championship team? Just looking at the scoring chart Amile should have won it.

# Name Year Team Game 1 Game 2 Game 3 Game 4 Rd 1 Rd 2 Champ PPG
84 Amile Jefferson 2012 Mavericks 16 20 23 26 27 13 -
80 Adam Woodbury 2012 Grizzlies 10 13 8 6 12 10 20
