I think we need to start addressing the ufc on this website.

I live and breath ufc and am in the early stages of learning about this sport, i am like a sponge. I cannot get enough of it.

On a side note George St. Pierre will not be fighting Matt Hughes next month for the title due to a groin injury. BJ Penn will be taking his place to try to regain the title he once took for Matt Hughes.

No offense, but aren't there dedicated forums for that subject? As far as I know, there is no Cyclone UFC sport, or even a former Cyclone that participates. Thus, what would need to be addressed?

I believe that former Clone Footballer Justin Eilers was trying his hand at this sport. Last I heard, he wasn't having much success. He was caught with steroids while in Ames, if I remember correctly.

no offense but... yyyyaaaaaawwwwwwnnnnnn. If i wanted to see dumbass trailer trash fight i'd go to the Bud tent at East Side Night during the Iowa State. Do they have steroid testing. I remember a show about steroids on MTV and they followed a UFC fighter who was using.

Im from Davenport and my lil bro used to take karate from Pat Militich at Nick Tarpiens school of karate. People always talk about the local connection with his great "camp", but since i didn't grow up playing UFC on Saturdays with my friends, i really dont care. Im not saying noone should like it, its just noot for me.

It's not for me, either, but maybe some ISU fans would like to have a forum for discussing former Cyclones in UFC. No need to blast the guy for suggesting it.

He did post this in the "Off Topic" forum, so if you dont like it you really dont need to respond.

I am with you on this one GBC. With the drop in popularity of professional wrestling & pro boxing, UFC is going to be huge in the next 5 years! Iowa's own Josh "The Dentist" Neer is fighting his 2nd PPV card in a row this Saturday. Go Neer!

While this thread is definitely ok and we need not rip on the poster for wanting to discuss the UFC in the off-topic section...

GBC - It is NOT ok to post things such as Shut the F up!!!

Please refrain from this in the future.
