I bet $500 moneyline for ISU to beat Miami.

Here’s why. I think Campbell and team were embarrassed at their performance in the championship game.
Even more important I think Heacock was embarrassed.
At some point ISU will win a big game like this.
I may never see ISU or the Vikings win a big game and I’m running out of time LOL.
I’m crazy…right?

There’s a fine line between crazy and stupid.

I'll start by saying I hope you are right and that bet pays. That should be obvious.

Now, my concern is that Heacock punched above his weight all year and we already stole some victories. My gut tells me Arizona State was more indicative of what our roster was capable of this year than our 10 wins would suggest. Miami sleepwalked through some games, so we definitely have a chance it's just hard to put the rosters side by side and say it's any more than a chance.

I feel this gives the football gods a real Sophie's Choice between another kick in the onions for Iowa State or demonstrating again that I know nothing about football.

Isn’t Miami’s strength in the QB and WRs? I haven’t watched them since like week 3, but thought that was their game. If so, I do think our secondary is good. Sucks that Verdon won’t play though.

OP…I’m rooting for you.

I hope you're right. Campbells bowl record here is 2-4 so do with that information what you will.
Miami is something like 1-11 their last bowl games. I’m as big an ISU fan as you’ll find and know the nut cup. I was going to bet Miami, but maybe Ward declares for the draft or maybe, just maybe Campbell and the boys are so ******* embarrassed they win a big one! Idk. Just a feeling I have.

Has our secondary been good without Verdon? Seems there is a strong correlation between his health and our ability to cover deep passes.

Maybe I’m trying to put it into the universe, idk. I’m not normally a “positive” football fan, but after being so pissed about the champ game I can only imagine how embarrassed the defense (Heacock) are and trust they will be better.
I’ve said for years now that I hope to see boots, split backs, and misdirection in our offense to create some hesitation/confusion in defenses.

Yes you are. Can Ward can and will run the ball. That’s always been a recipe for ugly against Heacock’s defenses. Not saying that it’s impossible, but I just don’t see the value at +140

He averaged 3.4 yards per carry on 58 carries with a long of 24.

He ISN'T a running QB. In fact he stands in the pocket way to long looking to throw instead of running when he should run.

I’m hoping that “good Freyler” is playing and guys have healed- our LB’s and Brehmer. Big Citrus needs to play.

Everyone has figured out that you just throw it to whoever Cooper is covering. That was the cheat code for the ASU passing game.
