Been trying to find how to watch the game as a non-cable owner.

I have a youtubeTV account, but they’re not showing the game on their list because it’s espn+. One site suggested fubotv, which I signed up for a free trial with, but they don’t have it listed either. How are non-cable watchers getting the game?

I think it has to be via ESPN+ or nothing.

That doesn't require cable, but does require monies

Ever gotten an ESPN+ account before? If not, I think you can sign up for a free trial. Download their app onto your smart TV or whatever. Even if you have a cable/satellite subscription, you have to have a separate script for ESPN+.

Ok I have another question. If I can’t watch until one hour into the game, can I go to espn+ and start from the beginning? Or am I stuck with live tv until the game is over?

I'm on ESPN+ right now and you can go back to the beginning. But know that the "start" of the broadcast includes the time it was on its waiting stream which is for quite a while so you'll need to work to find the start of the game, but you can do it.

C'mon people.... it's $9.99 for a month. That's like 2-3 Starbucks coffees, or a 6-pak of some good beer..... to watch some Cyclone Football. More than worth it!!
Honestly that's debatable. I have the app because I also want to watch soccer and other sports that are only on ESPN+, but the quality is absolutely terrible. If you like listening to John and Eric and would only get it for the Iowa State football games, I don't think it's worth it

I kinda force myself to watch other stuff and ISU basketball to make up for it.

For the price vs. reliability it's not that great though.

So you'd rather not watch ISU football versus spending $10?? Not me.

It’s a little annoying because the games used to be on tv and for free and now ESPN is making a killing by charging everyone another fee on top of their cable bill. It’s a joke, but whatever.

Honestly it would be a tossup. Because "watch" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there since there's a pretty good chance that you'll miss at least part of the game due to technical difficulties. And they just increased their price by about $2 per month with no increase in quality. And ESPN is also doing its best to ruin college football.

I also love listening to John and Eric and will be listening to them while I have the game on so it wouldn't be that much of a sacrifice to not watch the game.

Anyone that has an Athletic sub but doesn’t have an espn+ sub is doing the sports all wrong.

Yep.... two ISU games for $10.

I completely understand the whole "but I don't want to support ESPN" thing.... but if I can watch ISU football, I'm going to watch it. I'm not going to sit here and suffer through not watching ISU football just so I can say.... "take that ESPN!".
