Ku - don't see them losing at home this year
OU - held serve v. Cy
ISU - didn't
WVU - mauling allowed

Baylor - probably too high
Tech - give it up to Tubby
UT - nothing special
K-State - too young
oSu - lost gunner

TCU - nice gym

#1 in the Coaches Poll @ #1 in the AP Poll will be crazy tonight. Great stage for the Big 12 with no Monday Night Football. People are going to leave Allen Fieldhouse with permanent hearing loss tonight. Wish I could make it to Monday night games!

You think they'll have the amplifiers turned up that high? Nice of the league to kick-start Ku at home for first two outings. Get them off to rockchalking lead, methinks. Like it was necessary?

First time KU has started Big 12 play with two home games under Bill Self. It balances itself out right away with four of the next six on the road. And no, no amplifiers necessary. They play the pregame videos at an unforgivably high volume but the noise during the game will be generated 100% by humans.

You know that's not true, the 100% humans thing. Those rich bastards who pay $10-20k per year aren't yellers and hollers like that ISU dude that chased Self out of the gym a couple years back. Hell, you've run off most of the students trying to fund your whole athletic department with hoops revenue.

All I know is that I had a migraine for three days after last year's comeback against Florida. And "most of the students"?!? I assume you mean the 120 seats in Section U that were removed from the GA/student section and sold to prime season ticket holders to recoup hundreds of thousands of dollars of lost revenue when the Student Senate voted to eliminate the Student Fee paid for their tickets every year. The chancellor stepped in and negotiated a settlement where instead of waiving the $50 fee entirely for students (a $1.1 million hit to the athletic department) the fee was reduced so the hit was "only" $350,000.

I fully expect KU to win tonight but doesn't change how I think the teams rank

Student fees shouldn't be necessary to support Ku hoops.

The purchase of an All Sports Combo grants a student admission to regular-season home KU football and men's basketball games based on the venue capacity for each event. The All Sports Combo also gives students a chance to purchase postseason football and men's basketball events. http://kuathletics.com/sports/2013/7/24/GEN_0724131930.aspx
No. I was saying that KU should not give away free tickets (as you were calling for) because I doubt that any other Big 12 school gives away free tickets to their students.

That's a really bad straw man argument, 44.
So with a straight face, you believe that Kansas should be the only team to give students their basketball tickets for free because they're KANSAS? Sorry that I shot a hole in your argument about the mean old Kansas yanking 120 seats directly behind the bench away from the poor, widdle students to give to the wealthy blue hairs.
