Is there a connection between Baylor and Fedora? Why would he leave UNC for Baylor?
Baylor would pay more, he was a position coach there once and from Texas.
As weird as it sounds, if NC didn't hire Chizik to replace him, a Fedora/Chizik team in Waco could do some solid recruiting.

Fedora would be an idiot to leave for Baylor. Tech and UT will have new coaches next year

He's pretty underpaid at NC, makes less than Paul Rhoads did at ISU in his last contract.

Baylor can pony up some money and as much as a mess they are, it doesn't look like the NCAA is going to touch them.

I don't know if you gain anything firing him with 1 game left?

A few years ago I would agree. But it seems like today the earlier you fire your coach the faster you can go out and get a coach before he gets hired somewhere else. I truely think the extra week that Pollard had by firing CPR a week early, helped get Campbell on campus. Not saying that this is the right way to do things, but it seems the business is going that way.

My guess for next year...

Baylor: Fedora (a good fit, underappreciated at UNC, Baylor will write him a check $$$)

Iowa State: Campbell (well, obviously, trust the process)

Kansas: Beaty (for lack of better options/bought himself some goodwill tonight)

Kansas State: Snyder (though his final season, he'll be 78)

Oklahoma: Stoops (not going anywhere, might make the playoff this year)

Oklahoma State: Gundy (seems to have righted the ship)

TCU: Patterson (still surprised like LSU does not want to make a run at him)

Texas: Herman (and I hope Charlie is updating his CV on the plane tonight)

Texas Tech: KK (they'll give him one more year before he goes back to acting)

West Virginia: Rodriguez (out at UA, Holgerson moves on, he's backkk boyzzz)

Tom Herman to Texas seems obvious. Kingsbury will probably be given one more year. Baylor seems to be targeting Tom Herman and Chad Morris (SMU). Fedora seems like the most interesting candidate to me.

Charlie Strong is a definite gone. Baylor's coach is gone. Klingsbury will probably be gone at the end of next season, from what I've read over on their forums, a lot of people don't think the school can afford to buy out his contract yet after renovating their stadium.

There is no way Kansas gets rid of Beaty. He has done a pretty decent job of making them competitive.

texas is so stupid. take your $15m from the longhorn network and give 8/10/12 million of it to nick saban and go win 5 national championships.

Be interesting next week to see if WVU's loss has the same effect that the loss did on TT. Holgerson is not my favorite personality and a similar beat down might expediate his career change. Be interesting to see how KSt carries on when The Master departs, did not work so well last time. If Campbell turns this thing around, he will be a better hire than Hoiberg for Pollard.....just hope he does not pull a "Chiz"!

Charlie Strong is gone.....Beatty and Kingsbury will be back and billy bob snyder will coach until his son is named head coach of the kansas state football program

Reasons...Fans and esp the biggest longhorn donors have wanted Charlie Strong gone for a couple of years....Kansas cant afford anybody except Beatty and he will turn the jayhawks around given enough time imho....

The Tx Tech fans are very unappy with Kliff Kingsbury right now, but the administration loves him ....think Fred Hoiberg.....and his buyout is around $10 million....He will be back.....

Dana Holgerson may just look for a better situation than he has now.....something like the Oregon job would probably get him to move....

Way up there
Baylor and Texas for sure. I think Texas gets Herman, Baylor gets Larry Fedora.
I think Holgerson will take a different job. Interviews at UNC and Oregon.
Snyder is probably a coin flip retiring, current contract thru next year.
Tech probably wouldn't mind moving on from KK, but who do they get?
....Same with Beaty at Kansas.
Gundy has righted the ship this year and there are rumblings that he doesn't get along with Boone.
Stoops, Patterson, and Campbell stay.

OSU won 11 games last year and has averaged over 9 wins the last decade under Gundy. What ship did he have to right? he's the most underrated coach in the league, maybe the country.

I hope the ISU staff will go after some of those Texas recruits with some of their coaches on the HOT seat.

West Virginia still has a lot to play for. Plus I have to imagine our score from yesterday probably has them pulling a Calvin Candie.

I didn't get that either. When Les Miles got fired by LSU people on here were saying that Gundy should be worried that OSU would fire him and get Les again. Really??

OSU should be a little worried that other schools don't come knocking on Gundy's door.

I went to the ISU-OSU game this year in Stillwater. The way they started this season upset a fair amount of fans and many compared it to a regular plateau like Bo at Nebraska.
I'm not saying it's right, it's just what I was told.
Many fans also said that Gundy and Pickens just don't get along anymore.
