So where do Jeffs, Gumbys, Old Chicago, Pizza Ranch, and Great Plains fit on that scale?
Well I was going with the major chains but I can throw the Ames mainstays in there too.
Old Chicago>Great Plains>Jeff's>Pizza Ranch>>Gumby's
Any I'm forgetting?
Also, Casey's Pizza, while exceptionally greasy, can be very appetizing.

Along the same lines, how did Home Team stay in business for so long (though intermittently) charging like $5 for an extra large pizza?

That it garbage! We ordered once w/o knowing it had ketchup n mustard instead of real sauce, vomit. Bacon cheeseburger everywhere else in the world is great, minus Caseys.

I always assumed they were a drug front.

I also always got their cheesebread for like $4 when I was working at the Varsity. :swoon:

I disagree. I like Casey's bacon and cheeseburger pizza. I also agree with your statement that everywhere else is better though. Actually I'm not real picky at all when it comes to pizza.

I have to believe enough drunk college kids mistakenly gave them $20's to cover the sober peoples' $5's. (guilty)

I went into hometeam drunk one night :)wideeyed:). My roommate bet one of the workers I could fold boxes faster then him. My roommate walked out with our pizza and extra cash. (I used to work at Godfather's!)

Seemed like the next question coming...

It's quite simple. They attempt to charge the correct amount to maximize profit. Charge too little, and you don't make any money. Charge too much, and everyone goes elsewhere. If they can persuade people into believing that their product is superior, they may be able to charge even more than their competitors.

Did you ever take Economics? :jimlad:
