I grew up in Central IA with some Sukup's and they pronounced their last name as Sue-kup. Yet I've heard a handful of people pronounce the SEZ as Suck-up. How do you all pronounce it?

I've always heard it pronounced as Suck-up, but I will gladly correct my mistake if it's not correct.

Suck up. Probably wrong.

I just wish I had enough $$$ do donate and get my name on a retractable roof complete with zip lines and bungee jumping towers.

Doesn't matter how I pronounce it, matters how that family says their name is pronounced.

I knew a girl in high school whose last name was Sukup. We always said Suck Up, but I'm not sure that's how she wanted it pronounced . . .

It's Sue-Cup. I used to build those grain bins, and that's about the toughest job you can ever have.

Seeing the poll results restores my faith in #CycloneNation. Seriously. The number of people, including students, who mispronounce this is dreadful.

Nah, if your gonna do it do it Vegas style and put a full light show/score board/ video screen on the ceiling. Like on Fremont Street.
