***Houston @ Iowa State POST Game Thread***

The play to send the game to OT was amazing, brought on by good coaching. Houston expected us to foul, and their player was sold when we doubled him. But then nothing. He was trapped.

That was designed by the coach. Mac haters must find a way to deal with this.

2. Poor free throw shooting
3. Justin Hamilton's soft. He needs to get angry. Show some passion out there!

I'm sorry, there is absolutely NO way there were a few hundred Cyclone fans who had to leave today. Not to mention the fact that when you leave after the game the amount of time it takes to get out of the parking lot is unpredictable. Nice try though. Pathetic by 99% of those fans, with the other 1% probably having a good reason.

Not all, but it isn't fair to lump everybody into your little tirade.

Positive for me was DG stepping-up at the end of reg and OT. We need someone to become a leader.

The team is still soft and effort isn't where it should be. IMO, it's a fact when you watch games and look at stats like rebounding.

And I'd like it if this team heard that more often, maybe it would motivate 'em. No one likes to be called soft.

The 1-4 Flat offense is a terrible offensive set.

Unless you got a Chris Paul running your offense, at best you end up with a point guard 1-on-1 with a Center. Basically when a coach runs the 1-4 he's saying we give up; don't have anything imaginative in our arsenal and basically running a desperation play in hopes to get to the foul line.

You really have no concept of the game do you.

Sorry, can't blame people for leaving at all - considering the home team's effort for almost the entire game was ******* pathetic.

You're the epitome of the issue.

Additionally, for the most part, our adult fans suck. I've been to a majority of the break games, and you older people all rag on the students....you're ragging on the wrong people. Our fans suck during break. Hilton has NO identity for break games. It's not the students who are producing the problem.

You're right. It's dumb whenever it's said, but especially halfway through a game we have a shot at winning.

Nice to see Ham get involved in the game, and it sounded (listening on the radio) like CB turned on the rebounding late in the game like he did the 2nd half of last year. Sounded like we took it to the hole hard, but we don't seem to finish well yet.

I never said I was, but you're simply clueless about hoops if you don't think a 1-4 can work. You can shred teams on picks/ball screens.

Rebounding still concerns me. I am happy as hell we had 34 points in the paint though.

Quez was huge today. Hopefully this game shows the team what they can do down the stretch in games if they step up. Free throw shooting is still not looking great.

If you have an excellent, ball-handling Point Guard, who can dribble penetrate and find an open dish. Otherwise, I don't care for strategy.
