What about Archie Miller to replace Hoiberg? Completely different style than Hoiberg, but he's a really good young coach.
Would be terrible for next year's team, and Hilton would be empty most nights watching that snooze fest.

I imagine that Leath will similarly stay out of the way and let Pollard do his job. That is Leath's self-described management style.
this just shows you nothing is as strong as greed and self centered
I think Hornacek would be a great hired, but I don't think its a no brainer. Just the fact that you'd pay $100 more for your corner tickets if they hire Hornacek tells me that he's the kind of guy Jamie might hire for financial reasons rather than being the best candidate.
He certainly could be the best candidate, but he would also beat the most likely option to appease the fans.
Look at the Jack Trice webcam ! The sun did not come up in Ames today
My daily #HoibergWatch2015 routine, open Hoiberg thread, read first page, hit last page, come back and hour later, repeat.
Interesting article on Hornacek. IF Hoiberg leaves, we'd all be pretty satisfied if Hornacek stepped in. I think he'd be pretty successful. More success = better chances of sustaining that success, even if Hornacek ended up moving on in the future.

Yes, I am a Wildcat and not a Cyclone. Just maybe you folks will appreciate a view from someone that has no passion for the Hoiberg situation. Other than money, I cannot understand why Fred would have any interest in the Bull's job. He has an ideal situation right where he is with many challenges yet in front of him. The last Chicago coach was not fired because of the team's performance. He was fired because he did not choose to have a brown nose. While Jamie Pollard is a peach to team with, Chicago's front office is full of insecure egomaniacs. Why Fred, would you even want to give those people the time of day?

If Hoiberg takes Bulls job -- his if he wants -- cross ISU off Amir Coffey's list. 2016 Hopkins forward cleared next month after ACL tear.
We can't really figure it out either, other than maybe it's because he once played there and he gets along with the front office (for now - no coach gets along with the Bulls front office for long) and with his health his window for coaching in the NBA may be closing. The problem is it's an overrated roster that to Thibodeau's credit he squeezed every ounce out of with no appreciation from the Bulls front office, the current roster doesn't play the style of ball that Hoiberg is known for coaching, and it will probably take longer to retool the team than the front office will realistically give him.
But hey, it's his dream, so good luck to him.
