Hassel is an absolute tool.

I wouldn't know about Hassel, but just being the devil's advocate here.... yes we beat Iowa by 20 earlier in the year but if we were a fan, I can see why we 'might' say that. Joe T. doesn't play much, the change to Perkins and Bohannon rotation much stronger w/plenty of bench scorers/shooters. To me Kris Murray is the X-factor. You win 6 out of 7 (including OhState and MichST handily) w/ an avg. differential of about 20 pts., I'm sure you get pretty giddy as a fan. Admittedly, games at Mich and Illinois will be more telling.
I'm just sayin...not going to get caught up in the low Q1 wins much anymore because they are different team now and we know they are in anyway. Guess I expect them to crow. No, I'm not predicting final four cuz that would mean the top rankings are seriously out of whack.
Always interesting how all the teams do when they get out of their conferences, tho
For example, if Iowa played Texas Tech in the tournament would you put all your money on Tech??

Not defending Iowa for beating bad teams.....but, yeah, defending a fan's thinking of how easy it is to get excited for a turn around and streak, as in more optimistic than at any other time this season. Heck, I'm alot more optimistic & excited too, just for beating TCU, OU, and WV these past few games.
In hindsight it was a dumb post... too many beers I guess.

We have beaten a number of good teams though so there is merit to our optimism. They haven’t. And with that validation based on our quality wins, you don’t see any of our media talking heads saying we are a final 4 team. But that’s how that fan base constantly rolls. They will eat that up.

Hilarious. Dork throws a temper tantrum after a minor shove and gets to shoot 4 FTs. This teams season will end with its opponent having a dunk contest… again. So soft.
Lol, you're totally right, the worst Power 6 team in history would have been able to shut down a Top 8 offense and erase a 10 point deficit those final 2 minutes if not for those technicals.
Lots of hot takes on here last night.

Well, they've won 6 out of 7 by an average margin of 17.8 points including two blowouts of tournament teams. I'd say Settles is right and you're wrong.
True, unfortunately though with Fran it can switch at the flip of a switch. I'm still only cautiously optimistic

Watched a little of this game as ToE listening/viewing is not a priority. Man,that was Some bad basketball and some of the usual suspects are even more unlikeable.
I watched their game with Iowa state. I saw a little of their game with Michigan and Michigan State because it was on at the bar I was at.

Other than that, really haven’t watched any of their games.

My biggest fear is the spurs drafting Murray, not because he’s a hawk, but they don’t need another 6’6 tweener type

still amazing to me how many great legacy players that Fran has backed into it. They have literally saved his job and he didn't even have to recruit them.
