There are numerous current players "in question" right now - only a few that would have any meaningful impact in my opinion - and most recruits are currently being contacted both by the new staff and other programs. It'll take a week or so for some clarity to start to take shape, but current players are the first priority for the staff and then they'll work on the recruits.

One of the current players that is in question would have a huge impact. Hopefully it's just a rumor though.

There are a few that would have a decent impact if they left, no question. I would say out of all the rumors, there are only about 8 starters that are truly considering leaving. Out of those, only 4 - maybe 5 - would really have an impact, in my opinion.

As long as the staff can keep the guys from making any decisions until they get to know the new coaches and hear the plans they have, we should be able to keep most of the guys. I anticipate a few of the potential transfers (i.e. Cotton-Moya) just aren't likely to buy-in to the new staff since they were so entrenched emotionally with the prior staff.

Last year we had 10-11 guys leave who had eligibility remaining although not too many were starters. That's probably a typical number at most schools. That's a realistic number to expect this year.

Unless they are going lower classification division or graduating like Rohach they will have to sit out a year. Don't see too starters doing that since most have already used their redshirt year.

Mike Warren, Allen Lazard and Joel Lanning won't be going anywhere which means the most to me. Not sure about anyone else. Obviously mother tucker, and Jordan Harris can't leave.

Why is it ok to name KCM explicitly but keep all the other names quiet? Seems unfair to him unless I missed some information that's publicly available.

Someone give me one good reason Cotton Moya would transfer. He's a starter on a Big 12 team, and he's used up his redshirt. If he transfers he would only have 1 year of college football left to play.

Only about 8 starters? Lol..only? Sorry I trust you 99% of time but I highly doubt 8 guys who started last year are considering leaving. That would mean that basically every starter outside all the jucos that started are considering leaving? No juco is leaving..they can't really. Warren, Lazard, Lanning are all staying. DM isn't going anywhere. Burton isn't going anywhere. We return around 14-15 starters. I just named 5 I know aren't leaving..plus we have what 5 jucos who will be seniors starting? So at max that would leave 4-5 that I guess could bolt. Highly doubt it. Maybe 1 starter leaves. Now in the 2 deep..sure I could see maybe 3-5 guys not being happy.

He is an emotionally compromised 21 year old.

Not a good reason, but that would be why.

Logic isn't always strong in College Age Males.

If a certain stater in the secondary decides to transfer that's his loss and a massive career mistake. He's used a RS and would, lose a year. Would be monumentally dumb move. He's a guaranteed starter here.

Yeah, this isn't basketball. Almost everybody has used their redshirt. And unless a guy is going to move down to FCS not only do they have to sit out a year but they might be giving up playing time at whatever school they go to. I guess a couple guys might just not mesh with the staff or want a new start. But 8 guys seems super excessive. If more than 1-2 impact guys leave I'd be super surprised.

And I don't count Rohach because he was going to be transferring anyways for playing time.

I'll give you multiple

1. He's from California
2. The coach he came to play for and was really close to was fired
3. He probably feels even with sitting out a year he will get more "exposure" at a better program (if he indeed goes to Cal)
