Herman and the qb's did not do their jobs. Neither did the offensive line though

Should've gone in the booth at halftime, tore off the headset, and told him to get out in the hallway with his Ohio State hat (and sweater vest?). Totally unimaginative offense, and not by accident. Also, Jantz sucks.

Watching receivers drop ball after ball is not the coaches fault. I think I will trust Urban Meyer's choice of OC. Our receivers have to get better at hanging on to the ball and Jantz or Barnett have to become better passers.

Trying to take the rose colored glasses off, but I agree. I've never been greatly impressed with him. I think he's called a few good games in 3 years, but that's about it.

Umm...Herman is NOT the OC for Ohio State.

Worst game of the season. The QB's at ISU are just not any good (sans Richardson). I really hope that SR is a beast.

I'm not ready to blame all of our offensive problems on Herman, but I don't think he will be badly missed. He was average at best, IMO. With that said, he never really had an accurate passing QB to work with. Some of that responsibility has to go on his shoulders however, as he should have recruited and/or developed one.

I'm not sure the offense or quarterbacks practiced at all between KSU and today. Embarrassing.

Our offense with the new OC cannot possibly any worse.

Having 4 and 5 star talent at every position will make him look much better. The excuse has always been he didn't have the players to play his "system." If we couldn't get the players he needed/wanted to run it in 3 years then you have to start looking at the system as the problem. Good coordinators (see Wally Burnham) adjust to the players they have and make it work. Tom may do very well at OSU because he can have about any player he wants but that isn't reality at ISU.

I though the O-line played decent. Rutgers brought either brought more people or brought blitzes from the outside and our quarterbacks and coordinator were baffled what to do next. Is it just me or does Jantz put a whole lot of air under his throws? It's hard to tell on television but they take forever to get anywhere. Actually, Barnett played decent and we won the first quarter 6-0 so I'm going to assume he got hurt on that blitz and fumble.

My question is if Sam Richardson is a decent passer will we go with a possible two QB system. I thought that Paul is generally against that but I can't see keeping Barnett off the field that much but we'll have to find someone that can throw the ball.
