Seems a little early to speculate. Probably not as good of a hire as Chizik . . . up and comers will see Chizik's 5-19 record and think that it just can't be done at ISU.

Yeah, funny, it's BRIAN KELLY, the coach who's ripped on by many posters here, who has actually turned down overtures to stay at Cincy. And it's our GENE CHIZIK who wants out...
Doubt that Kelly, who wanted our job badly, would listen if Pollard is still our AD.

Well since Gene is probably headed out the door to Auburn who does everyone think will be our next head coach?

Turner Gill- Up and coming coach would prolly like a Big 12 job.

I think they should give Loney a shot at head coach. I'd like to see what an offensive coach can do. We had defensive head coaches for a long time.
