Another priceless question by Matt Perrault, this time to HB: "what do you think it'd be like for Doug McDermott to play for his dad?"
HB: (pause) "uh, I don't know, you'd have to ask Doug."

Seriously? You have the nation's top recruit and you ask him about Doug McDermott (no disrespect to Doug intended)?

I streamed kxno for the interview and thought that question was pretty funny/worthless. Perrault is quickly replacing Larry Cotlar as the worst interviewer in radio history.

At least he did not ask HB: "what do you think it would be like to play Creighton?"

Creighton is the only team I could see Matt being a homer about (besides Boston).

Matt: "Harrison, if you were a baseball player would you dream about playing for the Red Sox?"

Didn't Matt realize that Doug has already decided not to play for Dad?

Well... At least it wasn't Marty Terril doing the interview....

Before the interview he would totally rip the kid. Then during the interview, he would totally kiss the kids butt... Then afterwards turn around and start some new crazy rumor that he is going over seas and skip college altogether.

How soon we forget about that....

Let me explain why I asked the question, which went no where - I will agree.

I was in Vegas around several recruiting guru's and there was a rumor going around that Doug and Harrison could BOTH go to Iowa St together. They are very close friends and could both play for a Coach that they love.

I wanted to see if Harrison would talk about Doug and their relationship and Iowa St being a place that Doug might go to etc.... Yes, Doug has talked about not going to Iowa St but a lot of people do not believe that. He would not count as a scholarship (13 max) for the Cyclones by NCAA rules. Why wouldn't he go to Iowa St? It makes too much sense...plus, if you could get Doug and Harrison together? Huge.

That is why I brought up Doug playing at Iowa St after Ken mentioned Doug's development this summer. Again, it went no more but I did have a method to the madness...it just didn't work.

I really hope it's true. Bubu, Doug, and Harrison seem to be a good trio to have on any team.

Fair enough, but you said Harrison was going to Duke so this makes no sense. :)
