He has elite length and some position versatility (if he can put on some weight), which the NBA loves. Defends pretty well and can tip balls in the passing lanes. Also, he's not a shot hunter, which is probably a good thing. More of a facilitator. Runs the break extremely well. But, you can probably count on one hand the times that he created his own shot last year. And, with that release, he would get a lot of shots put back in his face in the NBA.

If he's still in the first round projections next spring, then he (and ISU) have had a good year. And that he really worked on the holes in his game. I'm all for him having a tough decision to make next May. But TH is also one that I don't think would jump for the sake of jumping. I think that he's going to need to be a pretty sure first rounder to actually go.

It's impossible to judge how much he "deferred" last season.

We'll find out fairly quickly how much there is to this.

I just assumed he valued things like ball movement, sharing the ball, and playing defense since those are things that have proven to be successful over and over and over again.

I think there's times when he could have still gotten to the rim instead of kicking it out but that's better than forcing it into 4 defenders and ending up in a pile while the ball goes back the other way for an easy bucket.

"scared to take a shot?" Nope.

"knows that he only needs to make the wide open ones?" Yep.
Yeah, that's why his coach and teammates had to get on him to take wide open shots. Scared may be unfair, but certainly needed to be more aggresive.

Borrowing from CMC, but I think Tyrese wants to do something rather than be someone. THT wanted to be someone.

If he and Conditt got on the same page with that mindset they really could do “something” in the next few years.

I think, based on projected development and measurable, he possibly could have gone in the first THIS year. Next years class is quite a bit weaker; we have 11 months to worry about it, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think we could be losing another 2 players to the draft next year. Which is awesome.

Prohm needs to quit recruiting all this high level talent that just leave after one or two years, and just go the Franny route over at Iowa and recruit all these homegrown un-athletic Iowa kids that stay for four years! o_O

Nonsense. He was a true freshman. Completely undersized. He had many more seasoned guys ahead of him who's jobs were to make shots. No reason for everyone to be ball dominant if being NON ball dominant lead to way more team success.

I think if CSP tells him to be more aggressive he will be more aggressive. That kid is going to blossom and be a real all-timer at ISU who we'll talk about for decades.

Except CSP DID tell him to be more aggressive. I'm not making it up.

Just hit a buzzer beater to end the half on a nice little jumper around the elbow.

So now I'm concerned that he's shooting 2 point jumpers.
