There are 2 parts of my roof that don't have gutters on them for some stupid reason. One is right over the door to my patio, so if I need to go out after a rain I always get drops on my head. The other is in the front and I can kind of understand why they didn't put a gutter/downspout there to preserve the curb appeal.

Am half tempted to try to DIY it, but wondering if there are any good gutter companies out there that aren't going to rip me off for what should only be like 24' total of gutters.

Call a couple places and get quotes. Use that for leverage to help with pricing. Or try it DIY. Just make sure you watch some youtube videos so you aren't installing improperly and damaging the sheathing on your roof.

A gutter company can get you seamless across longer spans.

Otherwise watch some youtube and decide if you're up for it. Get a couple quotes and see if it's worth it doing yourself. I, personally, would DIY but I don't really pay anyone to do anything for me.

If you do it yourself make sure you use a silicon or similar sealant where any punctures are made into the roofing.

Since you're only talking about two stretches of gutter, you could do it yourself (with a partner) to save a lot of money. However, I'd do everything possible to avoid splicing sections of gutter together as the seams always end up leaking.

You can buy gutters sections as long as 16'. If your stretches are longer than 16', I'd recommend asking a gutter company if they will do a 'chop and drop' where you give them the measurements and they come to your house and leave you with sections of gutter to match those measurements.

Just watch a few YouTube videos and find someone who's willing to give you an extra pair of hands for a few hours.

Dont put any joints over any place that will bother you when they start to leak. Such as windows you look out of, door stoops, doors. The joints will eventually leak. Keep jointed gutters as steep as possible. Seamless gutters have joints at the corners keep those joints higher than evrything else. I sold buildings for over 25 years. Those were my chief complaints from buyers about gutters with seams. If it is 2 story, hire it done. Unless you have lots of scaffolding or lifts at your diposal. Just my thoughts.

Are you in a metro area? There are probably a dozen seamless contractors around that could know this out pretty quick. Unless you are looking for something to do there probably isn't much price difference for a seamless contractor and what you could buy the parts for.
