I don't see how you can pick anyone but Royce. He carried that team on his back. Offensively he was the only player who could consistently create for himself and others. No other transfer made teams have to adjust typical gameplans as much as Royce.

I would have loved to see Royce on a team with a competent PG to help facilitate. Would have made for a special season.

I’ll say Shayok is the top “transfer” as he left a top 10 team that he likely would have been a starter at - Virginia. And he could end up Big12 player of the year.

If you include juco transfers it’s Tinsley and not even close.
Two conference titles and if it wasn’t for the Michigan State screw job we would have been NCAA champions

A player leaving a consistent Top 10 program to come play in Ames can't be bad for future prospects looking for a change.

Tinsley's story in itself is interesting. Playing that kind of rugged ball in NYC makes the 'Just another gym' comment make sense.

Wish there were film of him in those days...probably some very entertaining players and games.

Jamaal Tinsley because he won back to back conference Titles...First one with Marcus Fizer and the second with Paul Shirley and Kantrell Horton.......
